<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The review presents data on the etiology and treatment of bacterial vaginosis. Bacterial vaginosis is caused by the replacement of a protective microbiota in a lower part of a female reproductive tract with the pathogenic one. This disease is widespread in a world, in some cases it is asymptomatic, but is accompanied by complications, which include chorioamnionitis, inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs, cervicitis, premature birth. In some cases, the disease is characterized by a recurrent course that requires a personalized treatment.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>бактериальный вагиноз</kwd><kwd>лечение</kwd><kwd>микробиота</kwd><kwd>персонифицированная медицина</kwd><kwd>этиология</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>bacterial vaginosis</kwd><kwd>etiology</kwd><kwd>microbiota</kwd><kwd>personalized medicine</kwd><kwd>treatment</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Aldunate M, Srbinovski D, Hearps A, et al.
